This Matrix can be used for gaining visual understanding of relative positioning of alternatives with respect to two variables.

This is an active spread sheet and all of its visible data can be changed. The normal use of this is to change the items in the yellow boxes inside the black area below the graph. To view this click on the Spreadsheet scroll bar. Items in the black area can also be changed to reflect the change in use of the tool. Do not touch the blue or yellow shaded area at the top of the page as this is driven from the data entry areas.

The general purpose matrix option can be tailored to your specification. Four other pre-defined matrix options are available. This matrix is limited to 6 values per axis and 10 comparative items. Predefined axis values are shown at the bottom of the black data area. With the exception of the column at the far left these data ranges may be altered.

Note: "To work with interactive spreadsheets in Microsoft Internet Explorer 4.01 and later, you must have the Microsoft Office Web Components installed and an appropriate Office XP license. If you do not have an Office XP license, you can install the components and view them on a Web page, but you cannot interact with them." - Reproduced from Microsoft Office SpreadsheetComponents Help.
